I’m Going: NYICFF 2009 + Check Out THE FREAK

There will be many exciting films at this year’s New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF), which I will be attending to see Azur & Asmar: The Princes’ Quest.

Michel Ocelot also made one of my other favorite international animated features, Kirikou and the Sorceress, the first animated film I ever bought online.

I LOVE animated films from all over the world (features and shorts). Check out THE FREAK:

Animation, Aristomenis Tsirbas, USA, NYICFF 2004
Running Time: 7 min
A bizarre and gleefully dancing Freak disturbs an otherwise ‘normal’ Drone world.

The director recently finished the CGI feature film Battle For Terra, based on another one of his short films. Battle For Terra will be released in the United States on May 1, 2009 – IN 3D!!! (I adore 3D).

What is your favorite animated film? It doesn’t have to be international, I’m simply curious and looking for other films to check out.
