Flickr SlideShare: MTV Movie Awards 2008
While it is raining on all of you suckers in NYC, I am in sunny LA through June 2nd doing remote production for this year’s awards show. ^_^ Jealous, Barnes?
(Thanks for house sitting for me, I <3 you!!!)
My camera’s photo tool is pathetic (1.3 megapixels, Samsung, on your “smart phone” i760? For serious? Guess who is getting a crackberry soon?) but at least it works, so feel free to refresh this page or visit my MTV Movie Awards flickr set and come along for the ride.
My friend/coworker Rach is also on location. She has a better camera than me and, luckily, a flickr account. Eerily some of her photos are framed just like mine, only in much better quality.
Things aren’t all sunshine and walks of fame, unfortunately. I have a miserable cold and look like crap. So *surprisingly*, most of these pictures will be of other people and the events unfolding around me. Yes, my vanity is way strong.
If your curiosity compels you, here is my twitter. I update it just enough to make it all sound more glamorous than it is.
One of the things that I did not actually tweet about tonight (because I was disracted) was that my cool boss Ocean McAdams invited some of us to catch the season finale of ‘Lost’ that was being screened in a big suite on the Universal lot this evening. I had never actually watched a single episode of the show before but have to admit I am now intrigued.
I also fulfilled one of my fun goals for this trip – to ride around in a cart on the Universal lot at night. Another goal was to eat real mexican food and I did that last night at Los Tacos in West Hollywood. *Yum*
Let’s see if by the end of this trip I am able to accomplish all of these minor miracles:
– go on the Simpsons ride at Universal Studios
– have brunch with my dad who is in town
– have brunch with my friend Jessicah Pratt
– take a photo with the dude dressed up like Beatlejuice who walks around Universal Studios
This experience would be a lot better if I didn’t have snot running out my nose and a horrendous cough, but themz the breaks.
The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with MTV News’ “Coming Attractions” preshow kicking the evening off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Our host this year is Mike Meyers, who is crazy (funny).
